The icy wind came down from the top of the Vatnajökull mountains and the frontal rain carried by this strong wind whipped my face, making it impossible to climb. After a sustained, but brief hail, the elements calmed down just in time to take this panorama in the heart of the seracs. The descent was laborious under rain whose intensity came on worse than ever.
