Selatangar lava field – Iceland
The Selatangar lava fields stretch out for kilometers. And in some areas, the black rocks, almost violet, seem to be still warm from a recent eruption. The countless flaws one finds on the smooth plates reveal a very rapid cooling due to this icy climate. The hostility of these spots makes this area fascinating.
